For The Focus, I wrote and researched deep dives into online culture, misinformation and social media trends. I also covered breaking news in entertainment, tech and current affairs.

My article explaining the observed link between vitamin D and COVID-19 deaths, published at the height of the pandemic, turned The Focus into GRV’s flagship news site.

I also co-launched the Graduate Writers’ Academy, which armed journalists with the skills and portfolios needed to start their careers. Most of them went on to full-time roles in the industry.

As an editor, I assigned entertainment, culture and politics pieces, shaped content strategy and supported writers throughout the publishing process.

HITC

For HITC, I covered online and influencer culture, politics and breaking news. 

On the editorial side, I assigned entertainment and current affairs pieces, managed GRV’s entertainment calendar, shaped content strategy and continued working closely with writers to help them publish their best work.

I also oversaw the shift in content strategy when HITC and The Focus merged.
